The clock is ticking for heavy and light commercial vehicles owners who may be planning to replace fleet before the end of the year when Euro 5 vehicles will no longer be sold.

According to one leading manufacturer Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles sales manager, Fergus Conheady from next year, the emphasis will switch to Euro 6 models with their more environmentally friendly power units. With regard to the run-out period for existing units, Mr. Conheady said that demand for Euro 5 units is extremely strong across Europe.

"Even the biggest truck manufacturing plant in the world does have limits on the number of units it can produce! The final order date for Euro 5 is fast approaching and customers wishing to purchase the last of these vehicles should be placing their orders in the very near future" he said.
