Celebrity Chef Clodagh McKenna was delighted to receive the keys to her new Volvo XC60 at this year’s Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta.

This is Volvo’s fourth year as title sponsor of the event which is now Ireland’s largest sailing regatta. One of the highlights of the event is Ladies Day which was held on Saturday 13th and Clodagh McKenna was invited to be a guest Judge on the day “I was very excited to be judging Ladies Day at the Volvo Regatta this year. I love fashion and it’s always so exciting to see all of the style at an event like this one. The sun was splitting the rocks in Dun Laoighaire and it was a gorgeous day.”

Clodagh has been busier than ever with the recent opening of Clodagh’s Kitchen in Blackrock last month. The restaurant, which seats up to 120 guests is located in Blackrock Village and will open 7 days a week. “A few weeks ago, I opened the doors to my first stand-alone venture, Clodagh’s Kitchen Blackrock. Like all of my restaurants, Clodagh’s Kitchen strives to support amazing Irish producers and I feel my restaurant offers customers a delicious, seasonal menu inspired by my time spent in France and Italy. Clodagh’s Kitchen Blackrock is my first nighttime venture and I am thrilled to have such a great team behind me. You can check out all of my menus and opening times on www.clodaghmckenna.com

To help Clodagh manage this busy lifestyle on the go she has held the role of Volvo Brand Ambassador for a number of years.  "The Volvo XC60 is the most comfortable car I have ever driven. It has everything you could ever ask for in a car; full leather, parking assist, Bluetooth connection and it has a ‘City-Safety’ feature which automatically brakes if you get too close the car in front. It’s incredible!

Volvo Car Ireland wish Clodagh the best of luck with her new venture “Clodagh’s Kitchen” in Blackrock and happy driving in her new Volvo XC60!
