CMRF Crumlin, the fundraising body for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin and The National Children’s Research Centre, has been chosen as the charity partner for the 2016 Irish Classic & Vintage Motor Show taking place on Sunday 3rd July on the grounds of Terenure College, Dublin.
Organized by the Irish Jaguar & Daimler Club and sponsored by AXA Insurance, the motor show has grown over the past 25 years, to become the country’s largest classic and vintage motor show. More than 1,300 classic and vintage cars will be displayed at this year’s show, from veteran 1890s vehicles and exotic sports cars to a range of Irish 1920s army vehicles, including the iconic ‘Sliabh na mBan’ which featured in General Michael Collins’ convoy that was ambushed in 1922 at Béal na mBláth in West Cork. The show will also include auto jumble and trade stands, food and refreshments, live music and an enlarged kid’s area. The event will culminate with a prize-giving ceremony for the best vintage and classic cars at 4pm.
Funds raised from the Vintage Motor Show will be used by CMRF to support its Crumlin's Big Book of Memories fundraising campaign, recently launched to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin (OLCHC).
