NGK-sponsored Max Coates’ debut season in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB kicked up a gear at the latest round at Croft, as he recorded three podium places including a victory at his home circuit.

Max and the Graves Motorsport team’s win came in the final race of the round when he finished in second position before being promoted to the win after contact between the early race leaders was reviewed and penalties applied.

The 29-year-old, whose victory followed second places in the first two races at Croft, said: “On and off track it’s been such a good weekend, we scored more points than anyone else in the championship and although we remain fifth overall, we’ve significantly reduced the gap at the front of the field, a championship challenge is firmly back on.”

Becca Knight, Marketing Manager of Niterra UK Ltd, home of the NGK brand, said: “It was a fantastic performance by Max in front of a capacity crowd at Croft as well as the many millions watching at home on ITV4.”

The next racing action for Max will be at Donington Park on August 26th & 27th.
