The official opening of Colm Quinn BMW, Galway took place on December 4 where invitees were introduced to Ireland's newest BMW outlet.
Based on the Tuam Road in Galway, Colm Quinn BMW was described by Paulo Alves, BMW Managing Director as "the most modern BMW dealership in the world" at the gala opening which was attended by the Mayor of Galway, Councillor Donal Lyons, the Mayor of Galway County, Cllr, Mary Hoade, the top brass from BMW Ireland and customers from all over the county and beyond. Also amongst the dignitaries were neighbouring Dealer Principals, members of the local press and local business with the celebration going well into the night.
Prior to the official unveiling of the new premises entertainment was provided by the Galway Tenors, while afterwards the large gathering was
entertained by the Irish ballad group, the High Kings. Master of Ceremonies, RTE's, Marty Morrissey introduced the speakers, Paulo Alves
and Colm Quinn, owner and dealer principal.
Over 20 jobs are being created by the new dealership which consists of a bright, modern showroom, an 11 bay, state-of-the-art workshop, luxury sales area, parts department and a roof-top parking area as well as an extensive forecourt.
Colm Quinn praised his start-up team in Galway and his 'A-Team' in Athlone and his new 'G-Team' in Galway for their dedication and belief in the brand and the product that Colm Quinn BMW are aspiring to deliver. Colm Quinn BMW started in Athlone at the start of the recession in 2007 and now with the addition of the outlet in Galway, the brave decision to invest in the motor industry at that time has been an unqualified success. The opening of the new Galway garage is further testament to that success.
