Comline Auto Parts is employing Automate to manage and publish its catalogue data. Automate will help the parts suppliers to significantly improve the quality of its data, and become self-sufficient in publishing information to MAM's Autocat+ parts catalogue.

Comline, based in Luton, Bedfordshire, is a rapidly growing distributor of quality car and van parts throughout the UK and EU. With 20 years of experience and nine key product groups covering the whole Japanese, Korean and European car parc, the company is well placed to continue its impressive growth.

Incorporating MAM's unique Makes and Models Index (MMI), Automate will enable Comline to develop a consistent data structure that will improve catalogue matching and increase customer confidence. Automate will verify data, produce reject reports and perform gap analysis. It will also highlight new UK vehicle models to facilitate the introduction of new product ranges.

"The rising speed at which new part numbers are being introduced, coupled with the cost of printing, makes the production of hard copy catalogues a less viable use of resources" said Nick Weir, UK Sales & Marketing Manager at Comline Auto Parts. "Old fashioned printed materials are basically out of date as soon as they are printed. We knew it was essential to supply our UK customers with the most up-to-date information possible, and by using Automate we can now update, amend and control our own data as regularly as we want.

"This combined with MAM's Makes & Models Index means our customers have the most up to date and accurate cataloguing data possible at their fingertips."
