Comline-backed Bob Fowden has become a four-time Welsh Rally champion after he and co-driver Paul Wakely dominated the Peter Lloyd Stages.
Fowden and Wakely took their sixth victory of a remarkable season at the Pembrey Motorsports Centre, West Wales, to take an unassailable lead in the JD Tyres Welsh National Tarmacadam Rally Championship with only one round remaining.
Fowden said: "It’s great to win the Welsh title for the fourth time. It's been a successful year with the new WRC Impreza and my new co-driver, Paul, who has been an asset to us all year, and I'm delighted to have been able to see him win his first Welsh Championship. My thanks go to all the team members who have kept the car going well during the season, and, of course, to all our sponsors, like Comline, whose support has been invaluable.”
Comline Marketing Manager, Leigh Davies, said, "Everyone here at Comline would like to congratulate Bob and Paul on their championship win. For Bob, in particular, winning a fourth Welsh Rally Championship is a magnificent achievement and testament to his talent, dedication and consistency.”
