Continental Tyres has announced the launch of its latest product, the ContiPremiumContact 5 tyre.  Aimed at a broad range of vehicles that use rims in the range 14 to 17", the new ContiPremiumContact 5 tyre has been engineered to deliver excellent wet braking and improved safety.

The previous models in the ContiPremiumContact family have already proved very popular among vehicle manufacturers and end customers alike. Since the range was first launched 12 years ago, car manufacturers in Europe alone have issued more than 300 original equipment approvals for the range. Continental Tyre Group believes that the latest model will enable it to continue this success story.

The ContiPremiumContact 5 features a range of innovative tyre engineering attributes which have helped it perform so well in the independent tests and underline its positioning as a great all round tyre with strong performance in wet braking and safety. These attributes include its macro-block technology which enhances the tyre's cornering ability; 3D edges which provide greater contact with the road; and aqua grooves, a totally new feature that helps to reduce the risk of aquaplaning.

The ContiPremiumContact 5 tyre is available in all of the common sizes in the 14 to 17" range and will be priced at a similar level to its predecessor, the ContiPremiumContact 3.
