Waterford's Craig Breen has confirmed that he will compete in this month’s Corrib Oil Galway International Rally, the opening round of the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship.

Craig will renew his partnership in the West with co-driver Paul Nagle from Killarney on February 10, in a Ford Fiesta R5.

"Glad to share the news with you all that we are coming home! Myself and Paul Nagle will take part in the Galway International Rally in February with a Fiesta R5," said Breen.

This is both a bonus for Galway, which was pulled last year for insurance and logistical reasons and for Breen who lost his seat with the Citroen World Rally Championship Team in 2019 after the French team decided to reduce their team to just two drivers for the coming year..

"We are still working hard to get back in the WRC as soon as possible, and I think we will be back doing what we do best before too long, but for the moment the dry stone walls and shiny tar are calling, time to have some fun!"

"After all, the best roads in the world are sitting here waiting all over Ireland! I am not out to prove any points or set any records, I’m here to enjoy my time, enjoy our amazing roads, and get back to enjoying my driving."
