Cromax has released updated mixing and application information to help refinishers repairing two new Peugeot 208 colours, Ice Grey and Ice Silver, both of which have a textured, matt finish.
Kevin Welling, Training Academy Manager for Axalta Coating Systems in the UK and Ireland, says, “Cromax is committed to supporting its refinishers by providing refinish colour formulas for new OEM colours and trends as quickly as possible. The two new Peugeot 208 colours have a unique grainy quality that produces a textured, matt appearance, which shows variation in colour under changing light conditions. We have updated our repair guidelines to include a textured additive , CS222 Texture Additive 50, that should be mixed with Cromax CC6400 Standard VOC Clear to enable bodyshops to repair Peugeot 208 Ice Grey and Ice Silver.”
To receive the updated guidelines for repairing these textured matt finishes, refinishers should contact their local Cromax technical representative or visit www.cromax.com/uk where full Technical and Application Data Sheets are available.
The mixing formulas for the basecoat colours for Ice Grey and Ice Silver are available on ChromaWeb, the new and comprehensive Cromax colour retrieval and product management software package.
CS222 Texture Addtive 50 is available in 50g tins and can be ordered from Cromax stockist or the Cromax webshop, www.cromastore.co.uk.
