Dark nights should mean lighting profits boost

With the days now shorter and the nights longer, Ring Automotive is urging garages to employ some simple tactics to maximise bulb sales and profit at this time of year.

The company says that simply checking all exterior lights are working correctly when vehicles come into the garage is common sense, that can add up to major increased revenue. It also highlights the opportunity blown bulbs create to sell an upgrade, something that can turn a €10 sale into a €30 sale.

Ring says its ‘E’ approved XenonUltima bulb range offers motorists up to 120% more light on the road ahead, better reflections from road markings and signs and a much clear view of cyclists and pedestrians. These benefits combine to help make journeys much safer and more comfortable.

Headlamp bulbs are typically a service item or a distress purchase so motorists will often not be fully aware of the bulb options available. By helping educate customers and making them aware of latest performance bulbs, garages can increase their profits and increase customer satisfaction.

To support garages, Ring has put together a package of promotional material targeted at encouraging customers to think about their vehicle lighting. This includes an eye catching counter top display and A2 sized posters advertising the XenonUltima bulb range.  The Posters are free and are available for all garages through motor factors. Simply quote Product reference CAT37.

Ring says that once customers see the benefit of fitting a performance bulbs like XenonUltima, the next time they need to replace a headlamp bulb, they are less likely to compromise on light output with a standard bulb.

Ring Automotive have produced a video to show the benefits of a lighting upgrade. This can be viewed by clicking here.
