Gowan Auto has announced the appointment of Dennehy Motors to the Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep and Opel Dealer Networks of Ireland.

The Stellantis brands will take their place proudly at a dedicated, newly furbished 560 sq m showroom, located at the Motor Group's highly visible 14-acre landmark site on the Dock Road, Limerick. Established over 75 years ago, Dennehy Motors Group is a long-recognised giant in the Irish automotive industry. With a firm focus on customer satisfaction and loyalty, Dennehy Motor Group has gained a solid reputation for excellence in both the commercial vehicle market and the passenger car market. The extensive premises on the Dock Road in Limerick will now house an impressive new 11-car showroom for the Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep and Opel brands, complete with the very latest corporate identity for the carmakers. Indeed, when building works are completed, the development will be the first site in Ireland to showcase the new Stellantis Multibrand House corporate identity.

The service centre is already home to one of the leading DOE testing facilities in Limerick and a 20-bay workshop, employing 25 technicians working off the latest e-VHC aftersales technology. Rory Dennehy, Managing Director of Dennehy Motors, said: "I am very pleased to add Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep and Opel to our existing brand portfolio in Limerick. Opel is an established brand that has been enjoying a true rejuvenation, whilst an exciting product plan from Fiat, Fiat Professional and Jeep in the coming months and years is sure to attract new business to our forecourt. The dealership has invested heavily in expanding its facility and team to accommodate the new brands to our stable and is determined to give all Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep and Opel customers a warm welcome and an exceptional experience at our award-winning dealership on the Dock Road, Limerick." Speaking of the appointment, Alexis Moore, Head of Network Development for Opel and Head of Brands for Fiat, Fiat Professional and Jeep Ireland said: "We very much look forward to working in partnership with the highly experienced team at Dennehy Motor Group and I wish them every success with the Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep and Opel brands on the Dock Road. As our brands embrace their journey to full electrification and as our combined light commercial vehicles market share continues to grow, the appointment gives Gowan Auto great confidence we are very well positioned to further strengthen our combined market share in 2023 and beyond." Gowan Auto is the exclusive importer and distributor of Alfa Romeo, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Honda, Jeep, Opel, and Peugeot in the Republic of Ireland. Gowan Auto, a member of the family-owned holding company, the Gowan Group, recently made a significant commercial investment in a new Citywest premises, to future-proof the business and to meet its dealer partners' sales, parts, technical and aftersales needs, more readily. The company has set its sights on considerable, sustainable growth in the coming years, with much emphasis being placed on strengthening its franchise Dealer Networks.
