Racing duo Rebecca Jackson and Russian Natalia Freidina have clocked up some serious miles across five countries as part of DENSO’s Iridium TT Spark Plug Track 2 Track campaign.
From the launch in Moscow, the DENSO headed through Minsk in Belarus to Poznan in Poland, where the second of the campaign’s big track events took place for media and distributors. Here 50 guests were treated to an adrenaline-packed on-track experience to try their hands at driving a Ferrari, Audi R8, Lotus Exige and Porsche 911. Rebecca and Natalia also completed their second head-to-head Time Attack Challenge around the Poznan course.
A switch of vehicle from a DENSO Ford Mustang to a specially-liveried Lotus Exige S was made before the a visit to the Czech Republic, where the team visited the first of three of Europe’s ‘lost’ F1 circuits, Masaryk, named after the first president of Czechoslovakia, Tomáš Masaryk. The circuit was used for Grands Prix in the 1930s before Formula One stopped racing there in 1949.
The drivers then headed to Austria where the next historic F1 circuited awaited them, the Osterreichring, now known as the Red Bull Ring. The team move on to Germany before concluding the campaign at Brands Hatch in the UK.
