The death has been announced of  Dr Tom Cavanagh – founder of Cavanaghs of Fermoy, Cavanaghs of Charleville and Cavanaghs at Blackrock (CAB),

Dr Cavanagh made a huge contribution to all walks of life that he touched and was rightly honoured for this throughout his lifetime. However, he will be remembered first and foremost as a visionary entrepreneur who became a huge figure in the Motor Industry during the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s and helped make Cavanaghs the name that it is today.

Tom Cavanagh died peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 8th 2022 and is survived by his four children, Fiona (Collier), Conor, Maeve (O’Shaughnessy) and Ronan. Tom was pre-deceased by his late wife Marie (née O’Neill) in 2017.
