DuPont Refinish has launched EL600 Imron® Fleet Clear, a two-component low-emission clear for commercial vehicle repair based on an acrylic copolymer.

DuPont say that the new clear has a versatile application window which means refinishers can easily apply in one coat, one-and-a-half coats or two coats. It also has excellent sagging resistance, offers refinishers robust application for large surfaces, and has excellent anti-graffiti properties. The product has been developed to give a smooth, high-build finish as well as provide excellent gloss retention with superior durability and chemical resistance, both extremely important factors in commercial vehicle repair.

EL600 Imron® Fleet Clear can be used over the DuPont Refinish waterborne basecoat Cromax®, activated DuPont Refinish solventborne basecoats, Imron® Fleet Line topcoats when baked or dried overnight, and all sanded and cleaned OEM finishes.

Inge De Jonge, DuPont Refinish Training Leader, says, “Our R&D department worked hard to create this new clear which brings together very easy application with excellent sagging resistance. It also combines efficient drying performance with a smooth and high-build finish, offering refinishers a clear that can be used on every CV repair.”
