Chad McQueen, son of Steve, has completed his five-day tour of Ireland in the all new Ford Mustang that took in Galway, Limerick, Killarney, Cork and Waterford.

McQueen who is a film actor, producer and race car driver embarked on the Mustang Run in conjunction with the Dermot and Dave Show on TodayFM to highlight the arrival of the new Mustang in Ireland, the first time that the iconic car nameplate is available in right hand drive.

Commenting on his experience of driving more than 800km across Ireland, Chad said: "I loved every minute of it. What a great mix of roads you have in Ireland going from world-class highways to more picturesque narrow, twisty roads that can be sometimes challenging. But the Mustang was so balanced and well behaved that it took everything in its stride.

My trip to Ireland was everything I hoped it would be. The people we met everywhere were so nice and friendly, the scenery was truly awesome - you have a lot to be proud of and I do hope to be back some day".

Chad was driving an eye-catching Mustang Fastback 5.0 litre V8 with 416PS in Triple Yellow.
