EQUIP AUTO announced 2015 International Grands Prix winners

The winners of the EQUIP AUTO 2015 International Grand Prix for automotive innovation have been announced ahead of the main event in October.  The Gold and silver trophies will be awarded to the companies with the most innovative products and services across five categories at the show, with 60 journalists from 20 countries deciding the results.


Some the notable winners and runners up are:

NTN - SNR  - Silver Trophy for Lightweight PCS Hub Joint in the OEM category. This was developed at the request of Renault. The innovations focus on reducing component weight, reducing wheel bearing drag torque and also on new developments to proven technologies, especially for the drive line.

Schaeffler  - Silver Trophy for Hybrid Module in the OEM category, designed for optimised use of space for integration into existing powertrains.

Continental – Gold Trophy for VDO REDI sensor in the aftermarket category. This
makes it easier for aftermarket outlets to offer TPMS services.

Optibelt – Silver Trophy for Secured Change control in the aftermarket category. This is the first drive belt with integrated wear indicator.

HELLA GUTMANN - Gold Trophy for CSC TOOL in the garage equipment section. The CSC (Camera and Sensor Calibration) tool enables effective and accurate calibration of a wide range of camera-based driver assist systems.

MIRKA - Silver Trophy for OSP in the garage equipment category. The Optimised Surface Preparation System greatly reduced body repair times through an innovative 4 step process.
