With electric vehicles now very much having moved into the mainstream, independent garages increasingly need to be ready to service and repair, electric as well as hybrid, petrol and diesel powered cars. To help them meet changing demand patterns, J&S has expanded its range of specialist EV equipment, parts and tools, which is available from motor factors nationwide.
The expanded range includes important safety equipment, such as gloves and warning material, specialist tools and garage chargers and replacement cables. Electric Vehicle Charging Cables are available for a complete selection of both EV and PHEV vehicles including Type 2 to Type 1 and Type 2 to Type 2 connections. J&S also offers a complete range of replacement components for various electric vehicle models.
Alan Gaynor of J&S comments, “As more and more drivers switch to electric vehicles, independent garages need to be prepared to be able to work on these models safely and effectively. In putting together our EV range we have been able to provide garages with all the tools, parts and equipment they need to do this and it is all conveniently available from their local motor factor.”
Alan adds, “EVs do present some new opportunities for garages, but it is also important to remember that petrol, diesel and hybrid cars will also remain on the road for many decades to come. At present the EV infrastructure is a long way from comprehensive, so garages will need to maintain the capacity to service and repair all types of vehicle. By working closely with our supplier partners we can ensure that these garages can get all the parts, tools and equipment they need to service all types of powertrain from their local parts supplier.”
