The K9K has been one of the most utilised small diesels of all time and remains an engine that workshops encounter every day. As drivers try to squeeze more mileage out of these trusty motors, engine part replacements are in demand and FAI offers a comprehensive range to meet requirements.

The 1.5 DCi K9K replaced the Renault 1.9 D in 2001. It was jointly developed by Renault and Nissan, and the original design has stayed much the same over the past 20 years, being adjusted to meet Euro standards. The unit is hugely popular across not just Renault and Nissan models, but also many other manufacturers including Mercedes.

There have been 10 million units of the K9K produced around the world and with still more coming off the production line,  garages will be working on them for many years to come.

FAI has been offering replacement parts for this engine since the mid-2000s. With repairing rather than replacing vehicles now the order of the day, these parts are in especially high demand:

FVD1051 - Vibration Damper
BB2062-STD/030/050 - Big End Bearing
BM1045-STD/025/050 - Main Bearing Set
HG1766 - Head Gasket
B1139 - Head Bolt Set
OP350 - Oil Pump
BCH128     - Bare Cylinder Head
C355 - Camshaft

These components are available from FAI stocki
