Parts supplier FAI has introduced a brand new version of its Oil Pump Catalogue.

The comprehensive publication consists of over 140 part numbers, including 50 new references and covers 1400 engine variants, spanning 40 vehicle manufacturers.

FAI says, with over 30 years experience of developing and supplying oil pumps into the aftermarket, this new catalogue offers all FAI customers a market leading oil pump range, with quality, availability and value at its core. The company is always looking at the latest vehicles and the technology involved to meet the ever-increasing sophistication of modern engines. Over 1000 hours of development work has gone in to the latest part numbers added to range.

In recent years manufactures have started moving away from the traditional gear and rotor type pumps to a more efficient vane style pump which uses a sliding vane to control oil flow. Jake Barratt, Product Manager says, "This latest market trend of using Vane Technology started several years ago in OE design and we were eager to implement this to the FAI range. Through considerable investment in new tooling, machinery and production methods at our factory, we have been able develop a range for popular vane pump applications. Some of these latest additions include OP338 and OP341 for the Alfa/Fiat/Opel 1.3 Multijet engines.”

FAI has made a hard copy printed version of the catalogue available to overcome some of limitation of online systems. The company has also taken a fresh approach with the design to enable customers to check small but vital differences between families of pumps in a Comparison Guide.

Copies are available from FAI stockists or by calling 0044 1525 351800. It can also be viewed online at  faiauto.com.
