The First Line Group (FLG) has extended its existing warranty portal to incorporate starters, alternators and freewheeling pulleys from the Borg & Beck rotating electrics programme.

Initially introduced for the Borg & Beck clutch programme, the portal offers many benefits for customers as well as the workshops they serve, as it simplifies, speeds up and provides a virtually paper-free route through the often time consuming process of dealing with a warranty claim.

The portal is accessed from the Borg & Beck home page at www.borgandbeck.com, where users can add vehicle details a description and a suitable image. Once the claim is entered into the system and the automatically generated acknowledgement of the claim is sent back to the user, FLG commit that the claim will be assessed within just five working days.

After the claim has been settled, FLG will require the component subject to the claim to be returned for further analysis. This will allow the technical team to assess whether there is an underlying problem with the component and whether there is a need to consider a fundamental product review.
