A group of students, who will no doubt go on to play important roles in the Irish motor industry, enjoyed a great trip to motor heritage sites in the UK last month thanks to sponsors First Line and the IMI.

The students from Kylemore College visited the Gaydon Heritage Motor Museum, the Jaguar production facility at Castle Bromwich and the National Motorbike Museum in Birmingham. This meant they could gain an historical overview of the evolution of the motor car, plus were able to enjoy the trills and spills of off road driving at Land Rover Experience.

The group also enjoyed a guided tour of the Jaguar production facility including an up close preview of the new F- Type Jaguar. They rounded off the visit by taking in the National Motorbike Museum, where hundreds of historic bikes are on display. The trip was not only highly enjoyable for the students, but also a great help in their on-going automotive education.

David O'Neill MIMI Chairman of the Leinster Members Association of the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) and James Ward Teacher and Motor Technology course coordinator at Kylemore College, Ballyfermot would like to thank First Line for their support and sponsorship of this special event.
