Automotive aftermarket specialist First Line Ltd. has showcased its bespoke Borg & Beck Clutch Technical Centre in a new promotional video on its YouTube channel.

The technical centre features high-end testing capabilities, that ensure its Borg & Beck Clutches perform to stringent OE specifications. First Line’s test rigs feature prominently, demonstrating how every aspect of a clutch is tested to guarantee their Clutches are built to last.

Jon Roughley, Global Marketing Director at First Line said, “Modern-day driving styles and traffic management mean clutches are depressed more regularly and for much longer periods. This means the development and production of OE-specification clutches needs to deliver stronger, more durable parts. Our test facility has several rigs set up to put clutches through their paces to meet today’s exacting standards.”

The state-of-the-art precision machinery is designed to ensure consistency of quality and specification across the company’s extensive clutch range through unique software, developed to meet its stringent requirements when testing for characteristics such as, torque capacities, cushioning elements of driven plates, and the new automated test rigs to check the full functioning characteristics of clutch cover assemblies.

First Line Ltd. also has its own bespoke built CSC rig to fully test the seals, connections and to cycle the product over 100,000 times, showcased in the company’s new YouTube video.

Besides managing the specification, approvals and batch testing, the equipment allows the team to fully inspect and examine warranty returns to ensure the clutch is performing to specification, across a range of test criteria.

Having such a comprehensive test facility on site allows Borg & Beck to underpin its reputation as a leading clutch specialist, committed to the values of the brand and the needs of its customers, and helping workshops to future proof their businesses in an ever-changing market.

These testing capabilities provides motor factors and technicians with the reassurance that they will be receiving a clutch that is specified and manufactured to the highest of standards.

The company has also used its extensive Clutch expertise to produce an informative poster highlighting best practice clutch installation, which can be requested for free here: www.firstlineltd.com/posters.
