When you are looking to replace something as successful as the current

Ford Focus, it is understandable that designers may take their time in seeking to emulate the cars winning formula. The results of many years hard development went on display for the first time at the recent Detroit Motor Show. The all-new Focus has a new platform, all new engine and some shapely new lines.

Like its predecessor this car will be a truly global phenomenon with production in Europe the USA and China. As well as the standard hatchback and saloon versions, you can expect as many as twenty different spin-off models including a C-Max and Grand C-Max MPV, Estate, Cabrio, as well as electric and hybrid versions.

The new Focus is due to land on Irish forecourts early in 2011.
