Ford Ireland recently hosted a Technical Training Workshop for a select number of Blue Oval Club Trade Partners in the Ford Technical Training Centre in Naas. The event was hosted by Justin Mulrooney, Ford Ireland Technical Training Manager and Paul Pender, Ford Ireland Parts Wholesale Consultant, in conjunction with a number of Ford Blue Oval Club Dealers.

The workshop was based around the Ford commercial vehicle range focusing on the Transit 2006, Transit Connect 2008 and the all new Transit Custom. Topics covered included specific repair procedures relating to the transmission and fuel systems, along with a variety of diagnostic and mechanical repair procedures.

New Vehicle systems including Ford SYNC (an in-vehicle communication system that works with Bluetooth-enabled devices) and the new Continental Fuel System used on Transit Custom were also tested.

Speaking after the event Paul Pender, said, “Given the extremely positive feedback received from all attendees on the day we certainly plan to host similar events in the near future”.
