Frank Byrne, from Frank Byrnes Autobody Repairs, Oranmore, Galway is getting his running shoes on, to run 100km (yes that’s two & a half marathons) on the 14th of June, in aid of Galway Parkinson’s Associations.
The event will be held in Portumna Forest Park on a 5k course, so it's 20 laps of the 5k route. Frank is raising funds for Galway Parkinson’s Associations, with all funds raised going directly to the charity. People with Parkinson’s disease are challenged for the rest of their lives, so for one day Frank will take on the biggest challenge of his life, by running 100km in a day. This will test his fitness both physically & mentally in his toughest test yet and he is looking for your support.

Frank Byrnes's fundraising Galway Parkinson’s Association are a support group for people with Parkinson’s disease in Galway city and County. They also cover some of Mayo and Clare. They depend on the good will of people to raise funds to help them provide services to their members, and get no state funding. Frank has personally seen how the Association helps people and how these people’s lives are greatly assisted by it.
