Frank Byrnes Autobody Repairs has been awarded “The one to watch” prize in the Consumer Goods & Services category, at the SCCUL Enterprise Awards 2014.
The SCCUL Enterprise Awards are dedicated to supporting and promoting small businesses, with the competition open to all businesses in Galway City and County. The recent award ceremony in NUI Galway was attended by 500 guests including Dr. James J. Browne President of NUI Galway, Sean Sherlock, TD, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation and Special guest Bobby Kerr, Founding Dragon of RTE’s Dragons Den.
This year’s competition welcomed over 130 entries from many different forms of enterprise, including new businesses and innovative new projects within an existing business.
Oranmore based accident repair centre Frank Byrnes Autobody Repairs was entering the competition for the first time and picked up the main award in the very competitive “One to watch” category.
The awards day also featured a large Expo event where all the entrants could demonstrate their businesses. MD Frank Byrnes did this with the help of a special mystery guest. Frank said, “We don’t have too much information about this mystery man, all we do know is he is called THE STIG.”
