Future mobility at Automechanika

New forms and concepts of mobility are currently a hot topic of discussion. Disciplines are growing closer together that would, at first glance, appear to have nothing to do with each other.

Transitory technologies will be necessary until completely electrified automobiles can be made economically using high-quality mass production techniques. They include technologies such as lightweight construction, heat management, friction minimisation and cylinder cut-off. On the fuel side, there have been initial successes with the use of ecologically produced natural gas and synthetic fuels. The familiar technologies of full / plug-in hybrids and range extender are already closing the gap between the conflicting demands on modern mobility: electric and quiet in the city and traditionally dynamic on the open road.

The Automechanika will provide an overview of the various concepts for the ‘mobility of the future’ with exhibitors from all different segments presenting their innovative solutions in the fields of original equipment, conversion, vehicle and loading accessories, waste disposal and recycling.

Additionally, a number of companies that initially appear to have nothing to do with the automobile market will also make presentations at Automechanika. However, they are set to play an important role in connection with the electro-mobility of the future and include battery manufacturers, companies from the renewable energy sector, e.g., solar or wind power, as well as universities and training facilities that train tomorrow’s ‘automechanics’.

Automechanika runs from the 11th – 16th September in Frankfurt.
