Grup Eina Garage Equipment has had huge success with garages around Ireland since the introduction of its range of Micrauto vehicle system service equipment last year. The range includes brake bleeders, coolant system servicing machines and air intake cleaners. All have proved popular, but the highlight has been the unique Micrauto Multi Service Unit.

This flexible piece of equipment offers effective cleaning of injection systems, air-intakes, DPFs, EGR valves, Turbo veins and combustion chambers all without the need for disassembly.

Alex Olefirs of MTS Service in Swords, is one buyer who has been very impressed. He says, "It’s the DPF and air intake cleaner we use mostly, especially the air intake function for direct petrol injection cars like the 3 cylinder VW Polo. I have cleaned loads of them and found a big boost in fuel economy and a major drop in emissions. BMW specialist, Fionnsport Automotive Technology in Cork has been another satisfied customer. Finbarr O Connor says, "The unit is compact and mobile and the three-in-one design offers great value. The reults are always good but one particular job that stands out is a clogged DPF on a 2008 BMW 320d. Before the clean, we performed an exhaust back pressure test using our BMW diagnostic tool. The results were; Idle speed: 89 mbar, 2000 RPM: 175 mbar, Cut-off speed: 352 mbar. Without removal we were able to clean the DPF and after the process the readings were; Idle speed: 16 mbar, 2000 RPM: 48 mbar, Cut-off speed: 116 mbar.” He adds, "It is a great piece of kit that offers a real boost for business, not only for everyday repair but also as an add-on preventive maintenance service.”
