Gates has picked up the prestigious Supplier of the Year in the Sales category Sales at the annual GROUPAUTO International (GAI) congress in Croatia. The award was voted for by 24 members of this influential automotive aftermarket trading group representing 36 countries across Europe and South America. The vote was based on an assessment of the sales performance of all suppliers covering factors such as customer service, bonus levels, and representation. Gates, a leading belt drive system supplier, came out as the best performer, recognised by the GAI trading group as a key partner with an outstanding sales organisation.

The award was presented to Peter Verdonckt, Vice-President Sales and Marketing European Aftermarket, and Frank Nieuwenhuys, Director of Sales Aftermarket. Upon receiving the award Peter Verdonckt commented: "It is a fantastic achievement for Gates aftermarket team to have won this prestigious award.
