Griffith's Motor Group has opened the doors on its fantastic new premises in Castlebar, re-establishing a Ford main dealership in the Mayo county town and providing a welcome addition to the local economy.

Located at the former Chadwick's site on the Newport Road in Castlebar, the new dealership will provide the full range of sales and service facilities including new cars and commercials, used vehicles, parts and service as well as a car and van hire department. The new venture has generated 20 jobs among the local community.

Griffiths of Castlebar will be operated by Jim Hughes, Managing Director of J.J. Griffith Ltd. the Ford dealership in Claremorris, who says he’s looking forward to being part of a bright future in Castlebar.

"It's very exciting to finally have the doors open here in Castlebar" said Mr Hughes. "We have spent a year getting the premises ready for this week and looking around now, I have to say the team has done a wonderful job the place looks fantastic.

"Of course these are challenging times in the motor business but we're ready for the challenge, in fact we can't wait to get going," he added. "Castlebar is a busy, thriving town with a bright future, that's the reason we're here, and we're looking forward to what lies ahead in 2012 and beyond."
