HELLA Academy develops new training initiatives

The HELLA Training Academy (HTA), which has been successfully providing technical training courses for some time, is now offering business skills courses, that are aimed at helping independent repairers improve their skills and raise their overall standards. All courses are one day  duration and are delivered by recognised industry experts.

Johannes Schade, Aftermarket Managing Director at HELLA Ireland, has been key in the development of the Academy. He comments, "it’s clear to me since I arrived in Ireland, that independent garages don’t get the support they should. They have nowhere to go to improve their skills. I have seen this before in both Denmark, Norway and Poland, where we as Nordic Forum, have become one of the biggest industry education bodies.” Johannes adds, "Fortunately we have great resources in the Nordic Forum so this will benefit Irish garages, but we must encourage them to attend the training courses"

The HTA website at www.hta.ie, has information on upcoming courses, course fees, requirements and how to book. The website also has useful links to the technical websites of the many HELLA Ireland parts suppliers and the very useful HELLA TechWorld website and access to all these sites is free.

HTA have a number of experienced trainers including Ken Johnson, who is a fully qualified technician and approved trainer for HELLA Gutmann equipment and F-Gas training.

Con Gough is a former Director of Renault Ireland, responsible for establishing the internationally recognised, Renault Training Institute. Con is one of Ireland’s foremost experts in the fields of Management, Sales and After Sales consultancy and training. Con’s expertise has been engaged by leading brand’s including Audi, Nissan, Renault and General Motors.

HELLA Training Academy have two new upcoming courses. The "Grow Your Business” course is on Wednesday 22nd July. This course aims to educate delegates on effective marketing strategies for business growth and provide delegates with the knowledge and skills needed to manage and lead staff to higher performance.

The "Make More Money” course is on Tuesday 25th August. This course caters for all levels of experience and helps to educate delegates about elements that are critical to running a successful garage business.
