Bodyshop equipment specialist Car-O-Liner has announced that its advanced CTR9 Spot Welder has been approved by Honda Motor Europe. The news follows on from the recent global approval by Hyundai and Kia Motors for the innovative welder.

The approval confirms that the CTR9 welder meets the requirements set by Honda Motor Europe in 2019 for spot welding of Ultra-high strength steel parts. Other Car-O-Liner products approved by Honda in Europe include,  BenchRack, Quick42, Speed, EVO, Car-O-Tronic, CTR12000, CTR7, CMI3000 II & CMI273.

The CTR9 is designed to offer complete welding flexibility and allow the user to find a perfect position for almost any welding job. It features a light-weight transformer gun with a 355° swivel handle and ergo-grip. The gun is supported by a telescopic arm in durable and lightweight extruded aluminium that can be easily adjusted both vertically and horizontally. It also features a compact power unit with a low centre of gravity offering excellent mobility and stability, while a 16,000-amp transformer and CANBUS communication help ensure a perfect weld every time.

The CTR9 also has an intelligent operating system that automatically establishes required settings to ensure the proper weld nugget and an advanced quality control system monitors and adjusts the welder to guarantee the total energy input. The equipment can be upgraded using a USB port and a handy storage tray means all tools and accessories required can be easily at hand. The unit also has the option of special software which allows users to easily create work orders and document them in log files that can be printed off as required.
