Motul has announced that it has been added to the HONDA UK (HUK) range of lubricants and motorcycle care range in their dealerships, capitalising on HUK’s racing activities along the way.

An initial 3 years agreement allows the Motul brand to showcase itself at UK short circuits and road racing events at the highest level, strengthening a shared “Race to Road” philosophy.

With the Motul brand prominently featured on the flanks of some of HONDA’s finest racing machines, it is anticipated that demand for MOTUL motorcycle products will increase as the race season progresses and the Isle of Man TT returns.

Honda is fielding an unprecedented four ‘factory’ riders in BSB, with reigning Superstock 1000 champion Tom Neaves competing alongside established BSB race winner Glenn Irwin and two Japanese riders, Takumi Takahashi and Ryo Mizuno.

Irwin and long-time Motul brand ambassador (and 23-times IOM TT winner) John McGuiness will race on the roads. Glenn is no stranger to road racing, having won at the MACAU GP also having taken four North West 200 Superbike race wins in recent years.

2022 is an eventful year for HONDA.  It’s the 20th year in BSB, the 70th year at the IOM TT and the CBR1000RR-R FIREBLADE SP’s 30th birthday, so all in all it’s a great year for MOTUL to join.

Neil Fletcher, Head of Motorcycles, Honda UK, commented, “We are delighted to announce a new working partnership with Motul this year. They have a wealth of success across many motorsport series around the world and I have been impressed by their passion and professionalism. It’s great to form a new partnership together in such an important and special year as the Fireblade celebrates its 30th Anniversary in both BSB and the Roads.”

Günter Steven, Head of Sales Export, Motul Deutschland said, "As one of the leading motorbike manufacturers, Honda trusts our premium range of high-performance lubricants and motorcycle care products as well as our sales concepts for their dealer network. We are very pleased about this and it is a solid basis on which we will build a successful cooperation.”
