Szilard Bencz, Peugeot Technician at Slattery’s Garage Puckane, Main Peugeot Dealers for Tipperary North, was awarded Peugeot Total Technician of the Year 2015, in association with Finol Oils.

Szilard was presented with his title win at the annual Peugeot Aftersales Conference last week at the Red Cow Moran Hotel, attended by Peugeot Technicians, Service and Parts Managers.

Szilard, originally from Hungary, has a wealth of experience of the Peugeot brand, having held a position at a Peugeot dealership in Budapest for 7 years, prior to joining Slattery’s Garage in 2011.

On receiving his award, he said, ““I am delighted with the Peugeot Total Technician of the Year award. We strive constantly to ensure our customers receive a second-to-none experience. It is extremely gratifying to win such an accolade.”

Peugeot assess their Technical Advisors each year through Automobiles Peugeot’s online training programme, Evalion, to ensure the highest Peugeot standards are implemented. During a twelve month period, Szilard scored highly in his evaluation programme, consisting of 145 detailed questions across a broad spectrum of technical training areas and reflecting the latest technological advancements made by the Peugeot lion brand: with the introduction of revolutionary new 3-cylinder Peugeot PureTech petrol engines and class-leading new Peugeot BlueHDi diesel engines, Peugeot boasts 25 best-in-class engines across its wide range, whilst new, highly efficient automatic gearboxes qualify for the same annual road tax as their manual counterparts. Szilard’s expertise further covers multiplexing, service methods, environment, suspensions, steering, brakes and technical assistance.

Szilard was selected from 48 Peugeot Technical Advisors as this year’s deserved winner of the Peugeot Total Technician of the Year award. His title win follows a Peugeot Service Manager of the Year and Peugeot Parts Manager of the Year double award in 2012, presented to the Andrew Slattery and Zoltan Hicz, respectively.

To celebrate the newly bestowed award, Slattery’s Garage are offering FREE health checks & FREE Diagnostic checks by Szilard for the rest of the month of November.
