This is a warning that inferior and unsafe counterfeit brake pads are reported to be in circulation North of the Border!

Whether you are a Wholesaler, Motor Factor or Garage you have a duty to protect yourself and your customer from potential damages.
These Brake Pads are to suit VW, Seat and Skoda and are reported to be highly dangerous by failing to satisfy R90 standards, the European requirement set for all brake pad manufacturers.
They are held together with glue. The backing plate reads “Texte or Texta”, which is a poor attempt to copy genuine product manufacturer Textar. The box reads “Wassepumpe” which is the German for water pump! The Box has no “tamper proof seal” (which is a R90 requirement) and there are no fitting instructions (which is also a R90 requirement).
If you are offered this or any other product which you are suspect of, simply do not use it and report it to your local Garda.
