Intelligent Telematics moves into Ireland
Share:

Integrated vehicle camera and tracking specialist, Intelligent Telematics, has entered the Irish market with the acquisition of Waterford based Smart Telematics, a vehicle CCTV and safety system provider. The move will give the US based company not only a presence in Ireland, but also a base from which to expand into Europe.

Smart Telematics is already a major supplier of vehicle journey recorders and accident cameras to insurance companies and fleet owners and the move will provide the Irish operation with access to the Intelligent Telematics range of vehicle cameras that utilise video, telematics and 3/4G technologies.

Sam Footer, Head of International Business and Strategic Development at Intelligent Telematics said, “Smart Telematics is a likeminded business that expands our presence in Ireland as well as supporting our future growth into continental Europe. We are committed to creating a global infrastructure by the end of the year through a network of owned and partner organisations.”

Intelligent Telematics was launched last year to provide monitoring solutions that combine tracking and integrated camera technology which can help produce data to reduce insurance costs.
