It’s an inside job!

Open the bonnet or boot of any modern car and in the majority of cases, you’ll find that beyond the sound proofing and sundry trim, that the interior panels and engine bay are painted in body colour and usually in a satin or semi-matt finish.

Returning the vehicle to the pre-accident condition means restoring the interior panels to factory spec, which has, in the past meant sanding, priming, base coating and applying a clear coat with a matting agent in order to maintain the durability of the original finish. This involves considerable time, particularly when drying the interior finishes so the exterior panels can be masked and painted,

The key feature with these additives, is that it maintains the standard refinishing system and completely eliminates the need for clear coating. Using this process provides the durability and thermal resistance required in engine bays and luggage areas. The result is identical to the factory finish and eminently durable.

Whether you use Glasurit, DeBeers or Lechler – P R Reilly has these new additives available from all 3 brands – call their Colour Shop department 01-8322802 or email peter@team.ie.
