Japanparts looks to the future

Japanparts has been a company making a big impact in the aftermarket across Europe in recent years, with good success in Ireland. The specialist Asian vehicle parts supplier is now looking to the future with ambitious expansion plans.

Japanparts is a family company established in 1988 based in Italy. The company recently expanded its product offering to include a new range of shock absorbers and opened a new warehouse to cope with rising demand. Japanparts today offers over 29000 part numbers in its area of Asian expertise under the Japanparts, Ashika and Japko labels.

The range of products distributed by Japanparts includes 140 different product groups for just about every component. The company and its range has grown in line with the fast develop0ing automotive market in the Far East.  It had a turnover in excess of 75 million Euro in 2016, and exports to more than 70 countries.

The company opened a new warehouse dedicated to its fast growing shock range in 2016 and plans to open another logistic facility this year.

Japanparts says its strength is in the ability to anticipate trends and to work in a global context. It  was one of the first suppliers to invest in a professional catalogue to be freely accessed over the internet, offered by Tec Doc, with whom Japanparts continues to collaborate. The web catalogue features 3D images, measurements and technical information, to simplify identification of the correct spare part. Recently, in addition to the search by vehicle, search by chassis and by number plate were also added to the resource.

Alessandro Piazza, General Manager of Japanparts says, “The strength of Japanparts lies in its flexibility, the speed of adapting to such a dynamic and quick-paced global market, increasingly significant stocks, and limited costs. Improving these qualities is our main objective for the future".
