There is a new name on the Donegal International Rally role of honour as Garry Jennings and Neil Doherty have won the Donegal International Rally for the first time.
The Fermanagh man won the event by 1 minute and 21 seconds from Seamus Leonard, and John McCafferty, with third place going to Derek McGarrity and Paul Keily, all in Subaru Impreza's.
Speaking at the end of the rally in Letterkenny, a delighted Jennings said: "Nine years ago I said I was going to win Donegal. And now I have and it's just unbelievable," commented the 41st Donegal International Rally winner.
"People said that this car would not work in Donegal, but this is proof that it can. Glen village this morning was the big stage for us in the rally - we were 17 seconds quicker through it," he added.
Declan Boyle took victory in the national championship by just 4.4 seconds from Manus Kelly. Sam Moffett took the honours in Group N from his brother, Josh, with Martin Doherty taking third.
