This month marks the 30th business year for leading Renault dealer Joe Mallon Motors.

Based in Naas the dealership has seen the ups and downs of the car industry over the years.

Originally from Kildare, Joe Mallon has been looking after customers since1986, when he took over the former Smiths showroom that year.  Since then, he has passed the mantle over to his sons Philip and Anthony and daughter Ethna keeping the business in the family.

“I am thrilled to be celebrating our 30th year in business. I feel a lot of our customers have trust in us because of the family aspect to the business, which is fantastic. We live nearby too so the business is very much part of the local community. We get a lot of returning custom be it with trade-ins or for servicing, which we are truly grateful for,” said Joe Mallon.

Currently, Joe Mallon Motors employs 35 people in both sales and mechanical roles in the Sallins Road branch alone. There is a second outlet in Portlaoise which employs 15 people in similar roles.

Joe Mallon Motors has long standing sponsorships of Cappagh GAA, Allenwood GAA and the Kildare GAA Development squad.

Since opening the doors to the Naas showroom in June 1986, Joe Mallon Motors has sold over 25,000 Renault cars and vans, and serviced over 144,000 cars.

Paddy Magee, Country Operations Manager, Renault Ireland congratulated Joe Mallon and his team on their 30th year in business recently at a celebratory event in the Naas showroom:

“In Kildare, the Mallon’s name is synonymous with exemplary customer service and the highest of standards in the motor industry. Kildare is a very important catchment area for Renault and the fact that Mallon’s are celebrating their 30th anniversary shows how successful they have been within the motor industry in the county and also in Portaloise where Mallon's have a second dealership. Joe Mallon and his family including Philip, Ethna, and Anthony who all work in the business are a credit to the Renault name and we look forward to their next 30 years in business”
