Despite highly challenging conditions, which included howling wind, lashing rain and hail stones, Legends World champion John Mickel came out on top at the recent Legends racing meeting at Brands Hatch.
John’s K-Seal international sponsored car was joined on the grid by another bright orange branded car for the first time and claimed victory against some tough competition.
Mike Schlup, Managing Director, K-Seal international said, “There are 16 rounds in total held at 7 different venues including Brands Hatch, Silverstone and Donington Park. Rounds 1 and 2 were held at Brands Hatch over the Easter weekend and were sponsored by K-Seal so every competing car carried the K-Seal logo. We are delighted to sponsor John who is the current UK, World Series and World Masters Champion in Legends Racing. It’s going to be a challenging year for him with new kids on the block vying to take his crown but John is at his best when the stakes are high.”
Legends car racing is a style of race car, designed primarily to promote exciting racing and to keep costs down. The body shells are 5/8-scale replicas of American automobiles from the 1930s and 1940s, powered by a Yamaha motorcycle engine. The sanctioning body for Legends car racing is called INEX which stands for inexpensive racing. Legends Cars are a "spec" series, meaning all cars are mechanically identical, although car styles can vary.
K-Seal products are hugely popular in Ireland providing quick and easy permanent seals of most leaks in the engine blocks, cylinder heads, head gaskets, radiators, freeze plugs and heater cores. It is the only coolant leak repair product to have successfully passed the stringent ASTM D3147 test and can be used without the need to drain radiators.
