If you are a bodyshop operator who feels neglected and undervalued. Constantly under pressure and that no one understands how difficult your job is, do not despair, you are not alone.
A frustrated boodyhop owner in Colorado, US has posted a video on YouTube that perfectly sums up the trials and tribulations of running a workshop and has received a fantastic response from those who share his anguish. It is based on the Paul Harvey speech "So God Made a Farmer” and cleverly applies this to the crash repair sector. It was posted by Robert Grieve of Nylund’s Collision Center. He said, "I just wanted to do something nice as an industry piece, rather than just promoting us.”
In the video Robert highlights the difficulties of his work in a tongue in cheek way. For example its says, "God said, ‘I need someone willing to spend hours researching the proper repair, submit the estimate, fight with the adjuster, talk to the supervisor, and keep guests protected always. And someone who can deliver the news when a loved car is totalled. … So God made a body shop owner.”
The video has received a very positive response from other bodyshops both in the USA and internationally.
