Less of your lip son - you’ve failed

Certain cars, including the Hyundai Getz and the Kia Picanto, are failing the NCT test due to the wrong type of battery being fitted. The battery must have a lip along the bottom edge in order for the hold-down clamp to secure it.

During the NCT test, the battery is checked for a secure mount and if a standard 054 battery is used, then the car can fail. Don’t have your customers coming back to you demanding a test refund, because you fitted the wrong battery.

Oldham has the correct battery for these vehicles, which is available through your local friendly Motor Factor. Part No: OLD054HDA.
