German oil and additives specialist, LIQUI MOLY, has announced that its CEO, Ernst Prost, has sold his company shares to the Würth Group. He will remain as CEO.
After a record sales year for the company Ernst commented, "I have hereby secured the future of LIQUI MOLY for a time when I may no longer be at the helm myself."
LIQUI Moly has a long relationship with the Würth Group, with the multi-national being a silent partner for some 20 years. Ernst also pointed out that with more than 70,000 employees and 12.5 billion euro sales, the Würth Group is considerably bigger than LIQUI MOLY, but it is also a family company. He said, "That's why I know LIQUI MOLY is in good hands with the Würth Group."
LIQUI MOLY is also keen to stress that apart from the change of owner behind the scenes, it will still maintain its much respected product range and levels of service. LIQUI MOLY remains an independent company within the Würth Group, Ernst Prost remains CEO and all employees will remain in place. "Those who know me know that my employees are my focus," says Ernst Prost. "After all, it would be foolish to change anything about the road to success over the past few years. Everything will continue just as before, just under a bigger roof that offers greater protection."
