With the cost of petrol and diesel continuing to spiral, oil and additive specialist Mannol, is launching a new garage poster campaign focusing on a 3 Step Fuel System Service and promoting greater awareness of its fuel additives range.
The poster covers diesel and petrol engines and has been produced in a special vinyl finish making it durable and suitable for both reception and workshop walls. It clearly explains the 3 steps required for the fuel system service and the benefits of each product used. It also includes a QR code which when scanned links to a special online tool which has been developed by Mannol to calculate the amount the customer needs for their particular vehicle.
There 3 step process is to, firstly, boost the Cetane (diesel) or Octane (petrol) number of the fuel. By burning out precipitations, the additives also effectively clean components and parts of the fuel system.
Super Diesel Cetane plus is ideal for this job. It has excellent cleaning properties and 60 Litres of fuel can be treated with just 200ml of additive. Mannol Super Benzin special additive achieves similar results in all types of petrol engine, with 500ml treating 50 litres of fuel.
Step 2 in the process is cleaning and regeneration, removing carbon and other deposits from needles and nozzles for effective fuel flow. Mannol Diesel Jet Cleaner offers fast acting cleaning and is suitable for all diesel engines, while Mannol Injection Cleaner offers excellent cleaning for carburettor, multipoint and direct injection petrol systems.
Step 3 is preventative maintenance for everyday engine protection. Here the Mannol additives can be used at every fuel top up. They will form a stable and strong lubricating Estero-oil film on the fuel system components stopping the build up of deposits and keeping them clean.
For Diesel engines, Diesel Ester is a highly effective anti-wear anti-friction additive which also increases the Cetane number. It acts to reduce fuel consumption and emissions and protect the engine.
Benzin Ester Additive is suitable for all types of petrol engine. It also lubricates and cleans the system while acting as a combustion catalyst for better fuel burn and improved performance.
By displaying the poster, which also contains oil additive information, and following the recommended steps, garages can increase customer satisfaction levels through reduced fuel consumption and increased performance and reliability. They will also be creating another business revenue stream.
