The Mansfield recovery group has taken delivery of a brand new heavy duty recovery vehicle from Boniface Engineering, marking the very latest in a long line of deliveries stretching back over almost 30 years.
Based in the UK Midlands, Mansfield is managed by Darrell Mansfield, someone who has very exacting standards when it comes to his recovery vehicles. The Mansfield Group’s ethos of “whatever it takes” is echoed in this latest heavy recovery vehicle built by Boniface. The new Volvo FH tridem chassis with its two 9 tonne steer axles and high capacity rear bogie has been fitted with the latest Century 1140 rotator, SDU underlift and Maxireach Lowline H boom to create a truly versatile vehicle. It is light and manoeuvrable enough for everyday lift and tow work but also capable of heavy recovery when the situation arises. It features three 50,000lb winches, ‘H’ beam front outrigger legs with an impressive 262” spread and the latest stability control system which prevents damage to the equipment and ensures the equipment is operating safely whilst maintaining stability.
Pictured here outside the Mansfield Group’s new Head Office in Stoke on Trent, the new Volvo will operate from the groups Derby branch.
