The Induction Innovations Mini-Ductor is now a firm favourite in many garages and workshops, saving huge amounts of time and making difficult jobs simpler and safer. One of the key members of the company team that developed the innovative product was Paul Astrowski.

Paul Astrowski is now Operations Manager at Induction Innovations and has been with the company for  12 years. Paul oversees the production of induction heating products, including manufacturing, assembly, quality control, shipping and receiving. Paul is also central to product development and the continuous improvement efforts which is a key feature of the company.

Paul has been crucial in the evolution of the portable induction heater series and built the original Mini-Ductor (MD-600) prototype. He then went on to develop the U-Series Concentrator attachment for the Inductor Series line of induction heating equipment, which is used to remove graphics, auto glass and seam sealers in body shops that are difficult to remove with standard induction heating attachments.

Paul comments, “It has been amazing watching the products evolve. It all started with the Mini-Ductor series evolving from the MD-600, which came out in 2006 and was the original Mini-Ductor. The second generation, the Mini-Ductor II (MD-700), was introduced in 2009 and the tool was made to be more robust and safer. Finally, the Mini-Ductor Venom (MDV-777), the third generation of the Mini-Ductor series, which includes enhancements asked for by our customers along with the development of the twist lock feature that makes it easier to use.” He added, “I’ve also seen the Inductor Series evolve from the Inductor 2000 into the current offering of the Pro-Max, Inductor Max and Glass Blaster. What amazes me the most is hearing our customers talk about the endless applications our products have and the amount of time saved.”
