Products once again attracting lots of attention at Automechanika Frankfurt were the Mini-Ductor® Induction Heating tool range. These innovative tools use invisible heat to safely remove corroded nuts quickly and easily. They can often dispense with the need for expensive Oxy-Acetylene equipment, greatly reducing risk in workshop operations.

On the Mini-Ductor stand visitors could see the product in action and also view some of the latest application videos. These included a presentation on how to safely remove a rusted nut in an inaccessible space, near a fuel line. In normal circumstances there would be a serious fire risk using an Oxy-Acetylene torch for the job, not to mention the potential damage to plastics, wiring and trim.

Using bendable coils to access hard-to-reach nuts, the Mini-Ductor can get to work in awkward areas and heat the object in seconds. The heat expands the nut and breaks down any corrosion bonds.

The Mini-Ductor range is available in 240V II + (MD-800), 110 CE (MD-700CE) and new, portable 12V (MD-500) version, which works off a 12-volt battery pack, or off a car, van or truck battery.
