Abrasive and equipment specialist Mirka has introduced Iridium Soft, a new abrasive that it says heralds a new era of sanding.
These new sanding discs have flexible film on a soft foam backing designed for dry use. They deliver optimised high-performance fine sanding by machine or hand, with a construction that balances flexibility, precision and efficiency.
Iridium Soft is offers versatility with 8 grits, from 400 to 2000 for a wide range of sanding applications. The soft foam base conforms effortlessly to curves and contours for smooth, even sanding. It also features Mirka’s Multifit dust extraction pattern which prevents clogging and ensures a cleaner workspace.
Long lifetime: precision coating and specialised grains optimise performance, ensuring a long lifetime on demanding surfaces. Ease of handling and ergonomic operation reduces user fatigue during both manual and machine sanding.
Iridium Soft also delivers a fine scratch pattern which ensures that the surface is evenly prepared for the next step, such as priming, painting, or polishing. It also prevents visible scratches after finishing.
